AFTER routing Warwickshire Imps with six for 36 earlier in the week, Hatherleigh's South African, Houston Engel, turned his attention to batting and powered Devon Dumplings to victory over a sadly depleted Incogniti with a rapid 49 not out at the County Ground Exeter.

It was a curious match, both teams being seriously short of players:   eight of Devon Dumplings played six of Incogniti.

The touring Incogs batted first and were all out for 54 with Exeter's Clive Dickenson claiming four for 9 off 9.1 overs.

Engel, with some fierce hitting, and Alex Millington in a supporting role, saw the Dumplings home spectacularly in only 5.3 overs without losing a wicket.

Incogniti 54   (Dickenson 4-9), Devon Dumplings 57 for no wicket   (Engel 49 not out). Devon Dumplings won by 7 wickets.
