DEVON Dumplings chalked up another victory in a 40-over game at Plymouth College.

Dumplings racked up an imposing total of 278 for three, the innings being given a sound start by a partnership of 86 between Graham White (45) and Marshall Hood, who retired on 116.

South African U19 player Beuran Hendrix (58) and Hood pushed the score along rapidly before Steve Luffman chipped in with a quick 29 to boost the total.

The College lost an early wicket and started rather slowly, then accelerated impressively to threaten the Dumplings' total. However, the asking rate eventually proved too great and despite Tom Watkins' 100 not out and Jake Luffman making 92, they fell short with a total of 249 for 3.   For the Dumplings Jeff Stanyer took two late wickets.

   Devon Dumplings 278-3   (Hood 116 ret, G White 45, B Hendrix 58, S Luffman 29, J O'Gallaghan 2-29). Plymouth College 249-3 (T Watkins 100no, J Luffman 92, J Stanyer 2-58). Devon Dumplings bt Plymouth College by 29 runs.
