Devon Cricket League - Emergency General Meeting

Reference: Rule 4(b) and guidance by the Devon Cricket Board Ltd

1. Member clubs will be aware that following the successful appeal by Clyst St George CC
  that the 2 bonus points which they had claimed having declared and won, be awarded,
  the DCL EMC issued a statement dated 23rd September 2013, which ended "it would be
wholly inappropriate for there to be further appeals on this matter".
A further such appeal is being processed by the DCB, having been made by those clubs
  adversely affected by that decision.

2. The DCB have, in the meantime, received a variety of communications on this matter,
many suggesting that the DCL stage an Emergency General Meeting (EGM) at which
this issue can be debated and voted upon.
  The DCB believe that this would be the correct way for the DCL
  to achieve closure in this matter

3. The Exeter Court Hotel has been booked for 7.00pm on Monday 4th November 2013
so that member clubs can attend, debate the issue and cast their vote.

4. The result of this vote would be binding, and League tables to be amended as necessary
to reflect the outcome of the vote.

5. It would be most helpful for the democratic process if each member club could send
a representative to this meeting.

The issues will be outlined at the start of the evening and the
DCB will be in attendance to assist.
