Degg and Holland have ton-up touch three times over

PLYMPTON 3rd XI batsman Jason Degg scored his third successive century on Saturday when he took an unbeaten 113 off Abbotskerswell.

Degg scored 110 not out against Stoke Gabriel the previous Saturday and took 110 off Ashburton the week before.

In ten trips to the middle this season, Degg has scored 577 runs at an average of 115.4.

Plympton officials have been wondering if three successive centuries in the Devon League is some sort of record?

“In my 30 years of being involved with Plympton, I cannot recall anything like it,” said club chairman Keith Alexander.

Curiously, Chagford officials have been asking the same question!

Peter Holland, who plays in their 3rd XI, has scored 151 and 103 on successive Saturdays against Whitchurch 2nd XI – fixtures are reversed in the second half of the season - and 181 not out against Chelston  & Kingskerwell the weekend before.
