Perseverance paid off for the Devon under 15s, players, management and families as they were crowned National Under 15 Champions at Sidmouth Cricket Club on the 20th September. With the original date affected by the atrocious weather of 2008 Devon and Wales agreed to rearrange and thanks to the total support of the Premier Champions the game was played two weeks late. Devon, after being initially in trouble losing four wickets for 23 ,recovered well to set an target of 144 that Wales could not achieve being dismissed for 85. This is just reward for an outstanding group of players, an enthusiastic and most competent management team and excellent group of families who have transported the players up, down and around the country and back again - CONGRATULATIONS to them all.
