seals play off spot |
Devon progressed to the Southern Final to face Kent at Reading CC for place in the National Final. Batting first Heather Knight survived a confident appeal for a catch behind to make 72. Giselle Ansley and Amara Carr were not as fortunate as both were adjudged caught behind before Calire Thomas joined Knight in a 97 run 5th wicket partnership to enable Devon to post a respectable 153-5. Wales at 6-4 effectively ended the game and it enabled skipper Ellie Fielding to use ten bowlers as Wales were eventually dismissed for 66. Pick of the bowling was Giselle Ansley with 4-11. |
