North v West – North won by 173 runs
In a one sided game last years under 12 champions suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of their hosts – the North. Batting first the home side scored 173 -9. They got off to a good start with Davies (32) and Mitcham (35) putting on 57 for the first wicket, Bracher, Clarke (23), Collier, Ashmore, Head and Extras (20) all reached double figures, Donohue 2-25, Hughes 3-42 (visitor’s man of the match) and Dickinson 2-11 were the most successful West bowlers. They were never in the hunt and were bowled out in 16.3 overs for the lowest score in the competition - 38. Not one of the visitors batsmen reached double figures as Huxtable destroyed them in a four over spell taking 5-10 whilst his joint North man of the match Harvey also took them apart taking 3-4 also off four overs.
