Devon won the toss and chose to bat on a lovely day at Axminster CC. The openers struggled early on and it wasn't long before Tom Ansell was out caught for a duck. Alec Bosomworth was joined by skipper Matt Golding and together they added 60 for the 3rd wicket. The loss of Bosomworth, trapped leg before left Devon on 77-2 from 20 overs. Skipper Golding then shared in a superg century partnership with Craig Overton as together they took the score to 178 before Golding was out caught for a well made 70. Craig Overton added a further 31 with Harrison Folland who scored 19 from 10 balls, Overton remaining unbeaten on 58. Berkshire's reply was kept in check with only one meaningful partnership. Craig Eaves picked up a debut wicket from a tidy opening spell. There was alos two wickets for Jack Richardson. The real damage however was done by the spinners who between them bowled 27 overs for 73 runs and sharing four wickets. Edward Woolcott with 2-27 was the pick of the quartet and together with three run outs Berkshire slumped to 169 all out to slip to a 40 run defeat.
