Solid batting display consigns local rivals to second heavy defeat

For the second time this season Somerset were bowled out by Devon and comprehensively beaten. Asked to bat first, Devon kept taking wickets at regular intervals as Somerset struggled to make any meaningful partnerships.There were two wickets apiece for Menheneott, Gabbitass and Sanders, whilst Ryan Skinner bowled a superb spell and was unlucky to only pick up the one wicket.

A fine opening stand of 93 between Freddie Gabbitass (31) and Tom Mitcham (65) laid the foundation for Alex Brown (29 no) and George Stephenson (26no) to ease Devon to a comfortable 7 wicket win. A pleasing way to finish the week which secured second spot in a very tough group.
