Fraser to Loughborough

Debenham to West Indies

It will be a busy Easter for two of Devon's current batch of outstanding young cricketers.

Sandford's left handed all rounder, James Fraser, has been called up for his second session with the England Under 17 squad this winter. He will be joined by 20 of the most talented young players from all over the county. Former Lancashire captain and current National Coach, responsible for the Academies, John Abrahams, will lead an outstanding coaching team and Ray Baker, who retired a couple of years ago to Devon, is the team's manager. The Easter course runs from March 29th until April 1st and is at the National Academy, Loughborough. Fraser has been impressing all winter, at the Somerset Academy, where the results of a self imposed fitness regime are bearing fruit.

Exmouth's off spinning allrounder, Robbie Debenham, is the latest player from the county to undertake the annual West of England trip to the West Indies. He follows in the footsteps of Chris Read, Matt Wood and James Fulton who all went on to play first class cricket. Debenham was an outstanding success on this year's Devon Development tour to South Africa when he scored 150 runs and took 15 wickets.
