EAST Devon U13s play West Devon at Bradninch on Sunday (1pm) as the shakedown process for county selection begins.
All four District XIs play each other before a squad is put together for championship, cup and Taunton Festival games starting in June.

27.04.05 South v East. Match Preview

EAST Devon U12s begin their County Trophy campaign this Sunday (May 1) at Brixham when they take on their counterparts from South Devon in a 45-over game.

The East Devon side are well balanced this season and manager Andrew Pinney is pleased with the variation in the bowling department

Captain Neil Mansbridge can turn to four spinners, two off and two leg, with right and left-arm options.

“Last year no side got past 44 as a team score against these boys and they will surely be just as dominant this summer,” said Pinney.

“I feel the only way they will lose a game this season if they beat themselves.”
