Plymouth CS2 62-3 (O. Alam 30*, D. Reed 1-13)
Yelverton 61 (W. Chapman 24, D. Sanders 3-13)

Will Chapman batted solidly for the only major contribution of 24. The final wickets were shared between Andy Statton, Jack Widnell and new left arm spinner Dan Windsor who claimed 2 wickets including a fine stumping for keeper Amara Carr to complete an immaculate evening’s work behind the timber which earned her the fielding nomination.
PCS2 shuffled the batting order and at 11 for 2 were in bother before Osama Alam (30 not out) and John Willis (15) added 50 to ease PCS2 into the next round.
Fielder: Amara Carr for PCS 2 & P. Taylor for Yelverton
Plympton v Plymouth (16th May)
Plympton 54 (T. Worth 24, W. Dickenson 3-3, J. Hughes 2-12)
Plymouth 88-6 (G. Stephenson 28, J. Howarth 2-11)
Plymouth beat Plympton by 34 runs
A low scoring match was keenly contested throughout and both sides made sure every run was earned. Two run outs were crucial in ensuring a Plymouth victory which ultimately looked more comfortable than the score suggests.
Plymstock v Ivybridge (16th May)
Plymstock 105-5 (A. Stevenson 39, N. Lancaster 2-10)
Ivybridge 102-6 (J. Malling 34, E. Hone 2-18, A. Stevenson 2-26)
Plymstock U13 entertained Ivybridge in the Palladium Cup in what turned out to be a nail-biting finish. Plymstock batted first on a dull evening. Alan Stevenson (39) and Rory Coltham (15) put together a steady 60 before James Bailey (18) and Ian White (11) took the 20 over score to 105 for 4. Neil Lancaster (2-10) with two catches was outstanding for Ivybridge. The visitor’s reply started in haste as Richard Ashworth (22) and Josh Malling (34) punished wayward Plymstock bowling. The introduction of man-of-the-match James Bailey (1-16) and Edward Hone (2-18) slowed-up the scoring. Ivybridge needed 14 off the last two overs and it came down to the last ball conceding overthrows before Ross was run out going for the fifth run.
Plymstock won by 3 runs. Both teams can be proud of the way they played and fought until the end.
Plymouth v Whitchurch (1st June)
Plymouth 80-0 (Libby 42*, Dickinson 33*)
Whitchurch 76-5 (Elliott 42*, Hair 21, Libby 1-11, Wace 1-8)
Plymouth beat Whitchurch by 10 wickets
A comfortable win by an almost full strength Plymouth side. Elliott batted well to keep Whitchurch in the match but received no support apart from Hair
Cornwood 163-5 ( Goodliffe 37*, Bennett 29, Newton 2-28, Scaglioni 2-28)
Tavistock 98-5 (Scaglioni 21, Howe 1-9, Bennett 1-15)
A good opening Cornwood partnership between Bennett & Dart put on 53 for the 1st Wicket. Goodliffe (37*) & Anning pushed the total up to an impressive 163 in very windy conditions. Jonty Newton (2-28) and D. Scaglioni were the pick of the bowlers.
The large total was too much for Tavistock especially as Ryan Howe with a maiden & wicket maiden kept things tight with Goodliffe in the opening session. Dan Scaglioni top scored with 21.

Plymouth 137-6 (B. Jackson 40, J. Libby 38, J. Willis 2-20)
Plymouth CS2 105-9 (C. Saunders 42, J. Hughes 4-10)
Plymouth got off to a solid start before Alex Hill was bowled by a low one. This caused a mini collapse until Ben Jackson came in and both he & Jake Libby pushed the score along until Jake miss-hit and was caught. Ollie Wace joined Ben & they passed the 100, eventually giving Plymouth a reasonable 137.
Civil 2 were in trouble from the second ball and Jack Hughes’ bowling took out the main batting threat. Chris Saunders was the main hope for Civil but was unable to save the match. Ably backed by the other bowlers, the fielders were on their toes throughout and Plymouth eased to a comfortable victory.
Man of the Match: Jack Hughes, Plymouth.
