Match Reports

Mount Wise batted first and solid contributions throughout led by Dan Sanders (25) and Henry Bennett (20) enabled the hosts to post 330. Civil Service were always kept in check by consistent disciplined bowling, Callum Cload picked up 3-8 and George Stephenson picked up the fielding award as he took four catches. D Ellard picked up the award for the visitors

Rebecca Donohue and Ryan Skinner were the difference between the sides both with their batting and bowling. The game was drawing to a very close finish in the final over with Ivybridge requiring 12 runs to win. The fielders kept their nerve and a fine run out by L Gunn-Collings put Plympton in a winning position. A good game of cricket enjoyed by both teams

Yelverton batting first reached the halfway stage at a healthy 250 thanks mainly to 17 from Ryan Howe and a generous 31 exttras. Plympton recovered and took 8 wickets with only Ben Jackson getting on top scoring 32. Ryan Skinner 2-19 and Michael Smith 2-17 were the pick of the bowling as Yelverton closed on 247. Plympton had a mountain to climb when at halfway they stood at 203. This became a molehill when 22 runs came from the 11 th over. Tom Worth (34) together with Jamie Howourth charged on to add 57. Ryan Skinner added another 26 with Mike Smith to ease Plympton to a 39 run victory. A nervous manager, John Yeoman, was happy to enjoy the remainder of his break in Spain after a couple of phone calls.

A good game played on a warm June evening as Plymstock put Cornwood into bat. After a slow start Plymstock picked up 5 wickets between Mark Thomas and Ian White. This reduced Cornwood to 215 as Plymstock maintained the pressure bowling 3 consecutive maidens. Josh Tolan gave Plymstock a good start with a well made 33. Adam Stevenson (24) and Ian White (27) also contributed in a comfortable win.
