Specific Rules for the Under 11 League and Cup Competition

1. Each team shall comprise 8 players

2.Each game shall consist of 1 innings per side. Each innings shall be of 20 overs duration. (16 overs when time is restricted)

 3.The batting side shall be divided into pairs. Each pair shall bat for 5 overs. Pairs shall change at the end of the 5th, 10th, 15th and 20th overs. (In a 15 overs game after 3 overs at the end of the 4th, 8th, 12thand 16thovers.)

 4.Batsman shall have unlimited lives, but each life shall result in eight runs being deducted from the total. Batsman shall change ends at the fall of each wicket except on the last ball of an over.

 5.Each player on the fielding side MUST bowl, with the exception of the wicket-keeper. No bowler shall bowl more than 4 overs. (3 overs in a 16 over game.)

6.Each team shall commence its innings with a score of TWO HUNDRED RUNS.

7.The winning team shall be the side scoring the highest number of runs after deductions for the fall of wickets.

8.In accordance with the Laws of the Game a substitute shall be allowed to take the place of an injured player. Such substitute shall only act as a non-striker whilst his/her team is batting. (In such circumstances the live batsman shall receive continuously.) Such substitute shall only act as a fielder whilst his/her team is fielding. Any over(s) which would have been bowled by the injured player shall be shared between the remaining six fielders without exceeding their allocation

9.The provision of Law 24 (6) – No Ball - ball bounces more than once; rolls along the ground SHALL NOT APPLY.

Cup Rules.

All rules to apply  with the exceptions of rules 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 above. In addition the following rules will apply:-

i)Each team shall comprise of 11 players and eight players shall constitute a side for a match to be played.

ii)Each bowler shall be entitled to a maximum of 4 overs.

 iii)A batsman must retire having scored 25 runs but may return when all the remaining batsman are dismissed. Retired batsman return in the same order they retired.

iV)The winning team shall be the side scoring the highest number of runs
