Plympton 315 (T Richards 27, T Worth 31) beat Ford Park Girls 221 by 94 runs.

Tavistock 303 (M White 20) beat Whitchurch 203 by 100 runs

Plymouth 279 beat Cornwood 251 by 28 runs

Plymstock 286 (A Stevenson 52) beat Whitchurch 210 by 76 runs

Tavistock 291 (F Jayarajah 21) beat Plymstock 219 by 72 runs

 

Under 11 Round Up

 

The three way tussle at the top of the Under 11 division saw Tavistock go ahead of PCSMW and Plymouth at the top of the table. The sides meet next week in what could prove to be a key game in the battle for top spot. Plymouth will await the result of that game with anticipation as they also have to face Tavistock.tussle for the title. Tavistock brushed aside Whitchurch by 100 runs, M White top scoring with 20. They also beat Plymstock by a comfortable 72 runs, Freddie Jayarajah top scoring with 21. Plymouth were pushed very hard by a battling Cornwood outfit for whom Ryan Rickard top scored with 20. Extras were the main run getters in a match played in wet conditions. With the season approaching its climax Plymouth should be able to take a lot of confidence out of this game in their push for honours. Plymstock's Adam Stevenson hit a fine half century in his sides 76 run victory over Whitchurch.

Plympton beat Ford Park Girls with a good batting and bowling performance. Tom Worth was the pick of the bowling with 2-8 but was\well supported by Tom Richards bowling his 4 overs for six runs. The girls to their credit never lost enthusiasm for who Julia Hayes was out

Tavistock 250 (T Pope 27, W Steed 22, J Newton 20) tied with PCSMW 250 (A Carr 21, T Pope 4-4)

Plymstock 253 beat Yelverton 171 by 82 runs

Plympton 290 (T Worth 36) beat Cornwood 247 by 43 runs

Plymstock 81-3 (R Coltham 25no, A Stephenson 25no) beat Plympton 80-5 (C Watkins 21no) by 7 wickets. Plymstock meet Plymouth in Cup final.

 

Under 11 Round Up

 

The Under 11 title is now destined for Tavistock or Plymouth after an enthralling tie between PCSMW and Tavistock. An exciting match packed with plenty of incident saw good batting performances from Amara Carr, Osama Alam and Callum Cload with all three playing some very attractive strokes. Tim Pope with 4-4 ensured that the visitors didn't get too many. Pope enjoyed a fine all round match as he made 27, this was added to by Will Steed who made 22. Rebecca Piddock was the pick of the PCSMW

Bowling as she took 2-11 from her four overs. With Tavistock requiring 5 to win from the last over, Jonty Newton clipped the third ball for four after a scrambled leg bye. Osama Alam kept his head and bowled straight to ensure the match was tied. Tavistock now play Plymouth in a winner takes all match. With Tavistock having 5 players away on Devon duty they have reluctantly had to concede their cup semi final to Plymouth so the league clash will have that added bit of spice. Plymouth will meet Plymstock in the Cup final as they beat Plympton thanks to a strong bowling and fielding effort. Unbeaten 25's from Rory Coltham and Adam Stephenson ensured a comfortable win with 4 overs to spare. Elsewhere a fine 36 from Tom Worth was the difference between the Plympton and Cornwood.

Richard Bruce was the only wicket taker for Cornwood with 2-9. Plympton finished with 290 and Cornwood could only muster 247. Callum Watkins was the pick of the Plympton bowling with 2-11. Plymstock eases past Yelverton in a match dominated by bowlers, four of the Plymstock bowlers finishing with 2 wickets apiece.
