Plymouth batted first and lost four wickets in the opening two pairs to put them on the back foot. Alex Hill then blasted 34, would have been 42 had he not got out once to lead Plymouth to 238. There was 2 wickets apiece fro J Elliott and C Hoar. Whitchurch were never able to recover from the loss of eight wickets in the opening pair. Alex Hill and J Hughes helped themselves to four wickets each as Plymouth coasted home by 99 runs. Connor Ayres and William Dickson were nominated as fielders of the match.

 

Mount Wise scored an equally comfortable opening win over Cornwood. Andrew Statton and Amara Carr were the only batsman not to lose their wicket as a modest total of 220 achieved. Mount Wise traditionally bowl well and so it proved as five of their seven bowlers picked up wickets, Devon prospect Chris Sanders taking 3-10. Amara Carr was nominated for fielding with some neat work behind the stumps with Goodliffe being nominated for Cornwood.
