Plymstock won the toss and batted first on a damp pitch with variable bounce. Good opening spells from Ben Kitt-Osborne and Tom Carter restricted the batsmen and only Stephens and Farmer mastered the conditions. Plymstock were eventually all out for 84 in the 18th over following tight spells from all bowlers used. The Tideford fielding included 2 excellent catches by Dan Snowdon. The Tideford reply stuttered until Ben Kitt-Osborne came to the wicket. His innings of 45 included 7 fours. He was well supported by Richard Court and Tom Carter. It was left to Jack Smith and Matt Worden to finish off the innings leaving Tideford winners by 4 wickets. The match was played in an excellent manner and both teams were a credit to the Palladium League.

Tavistock were below par and the fielding and bowling was lax and ineffective. Yelverton took full advantage of this with opener C. Oliver scoring a well compiled 50 and T. Turner smashing a quick fire 57. Their progress was halted by Charlie Hubbard bowling for the first time this season taking both their wickets ending up with 3-24 he was supported by Tom Greenen- Cruise with 2-17. Tavistock were now also holding their catches and Yelverton slumped from 123 for 2 to 137 for 8 at the end of their 20 overs. When Tavistock batted it was the same story of a bad start with Chapman taking 1 for 33 and Nixon, impressing with a lot of swing and seam movement, taking 3 for 32.

Tavistock had slumped to 46 for 5, no-one seemed to want to build an innings. Thankfully for Tavistock one man did - he was Johnny Hake who started watchfully and when his eye was in launched into the Yelverton attack scoring an impressive 89 not out. He was well supported by a dogged 8 by Matt White who would not give his wicket away and led to an implausible win for Tavy.
