After choosing to bat first, Plympton Crusaders went about setting a total quickly with Callum Cload setting the pace with a steady innings of 65 carrying his bat through the allocated 20 overs. Only one wicket fell in the innings, with Cornwood dropping two chances in the field allowing the Crusaders to reach 126-1. After some tight bowling in the opening overs Cornwood's batsmen pushed the run rate and passed the score, also one wicket down, with 5 overs to spare. Ryan Rickard (56*) and Billy Beaumont (50) were the main run-getters including a 1st wicket partnership of 122.

It was an evening for the bowlers.   Plympton won the toss and elected to bat, however this seemed to be the wrong decision as they where bowled out for 77 in the 19th over.  B. Barriball (3 for 8) and W. Hall (4 for 16) both bowled exceptionally well, and were assisted by some great fielding.

Plympton however managed to bowl even tighter than the high standards set by Whitchurch in the first innings. R. Walton (4 for 14) and C. Connaris (3 for 1) were the pick of the bowlers who saw the home side out for 44 in the 14th over.

Ford Park scored 86 - 5 in their twenty overs

Plymouth Mount Wise scored 91 - 4 in 17.4 overs

Plymouth Mount Wise beat Ford Park by 6wkts

On winning the toss Tideford elected to bat and lost opener J. Williams bowled off the third ball of the match by George DeMendonca with the scorers yet to be troubled. D. Shirley and J. Taylor took the score onto 16 before Shirley was well caught at 3rd man by Ed Bussell of the bowling of DeMendonca. This brought E. Neaves to the crease and together with Taylor, they put on 51 for the 3rd wicket, the partnership ending when Taylor was caught by Harry Cobbold off the bowling of Bussell for 13. The rest of the Tideford batting found runs hard to come by and when Neaves was run out for an excellent 40, the next best score was extras with 28 and Tideford were all out for 91. Haydn Wise making his debut for Cornwood took the bowling plaudits with 3 for 4, including a smart stumping by wicket keeper Luke Petherbridge. DeMendonca also bowled well to claim 2-19.

Cornwood’s reply started in lightening fashion and after 4 overs were 43-1, DeMendonca the man out, bowled for 10 by Shirley. The Tideford bowlers soon began to find their line and length and once opener Luke Richardson was out for a quickfire 21, bowled by K. Watts, the runs started to dry up. Luke Petherbridge tried to keep the runs coming with 10 before he was bowled by K. Wellington. Matthew Petherbridge and Dan Nightingale ran well between the wickets to nudge the score closer to the winning total. Luke Hill joined Nightingale and between them, they saw Cornwood home with an over to spare, winning by 4 wickets. Nightingale finishing on 8 not out.
