Toss Won by Devon

 
Devon got off to the perfect start to the day at Skukuza CC winning the toss in stifling heat. Devon elected to bat on a slow and low Devon style wicket. Wickets fell at regular intervals, however Mikey Cooper showed his hitting prowess by smashing 3 lusty blows over the long boundaries at Skukuza. Cooper ended up with 54 off 41 deliveries. Devon finished 110 for 9 at the close of the 20 overs.

Uplands College's innings never really got going with wickets falling at a high frequency, Kazi Szymanski and Jabez Weale both picking up a couple a piece with the new ball. Reducing the college to 7 for 4 after 5 at one point, meant there was no return for the local side. Chris Yabsley (3 for 9), Tom Williams (0 for 1) and Jack Gibbs (2 for 2) cleaning up the rest of the wickets to fall. Uplands College were finally dismissed for 41, meaning a great start to a tough tour for the Devon tourists.
