IT doesn’t get any easier for Exeter who take on leaders Sidmouth at the County Ground.Exmouth handed out a 198-run spanking to the city side last week – and they are only third in the table.
Skipper Jon Tippper said Exeter have issues in the batting and bowling departments to address if results are going to improve.
“Last week we dropped crucial chances and against the top teams you can’t afford to do that,” said Tipper.
“The bowlers must bowl to plans, it was too much both sides of the wicket and varying lengths which made it almost impossible to defend.
“One of the real areas of concern is our middle order. They have to start contributing with the bat.
“The top three have been great, but we really need other contributions.
“Only Matt Hicks has got a score batting between four and seven.
“We are a young team and learning all time as long as this continues then we will improve and get stronger.”
