F Division: Kerswell win in a hurry
KINGSKERSWELL should maintain their 100 per cent record in the F Division when they host Buckland Monachorum.

Kerswell made it 11 on the spin last time out at the expense of third-placed Exeter Civil Service.

Kerswell won the toss then proceeded to destroy to the home side’s batting quickly reducing them to 20 for four, with opening bowlers Pieter Douglas taking two for 22 and Phil Lacey two for 28.

The good work for Kerswell was continued by Steve Lacey (2-11) and Chris Hurrell (3- 11) to see the home side dismissed for 87 with only Clyde Atkins (32no) providing any resistance.

The Civil innings had only lasted 24 overs and the game was done by tea-time after another 16 overs with Kerswell’s openers completing all but two runs of the necessary total.

Steve Waters was the man out when two runs were needed to win for 31 and Mike Etherington made an unbeaten 44.

The win secured another 20 points for Kingskerswell, who are now the leading points scorers in the Devon Cricket League and one of only two sides to have won 11 out of 11 games played.

The 20 points also secured a lead in the F Division of 35 points. With only seven games to play promotion is beginning to look like a foregone conclusion.

CHELSTON could go second in the F Division this Saturday if they beat Cullompton

Cully in second are only seven points ahead of Wojciech Szymanski’s side so a wn would see the teams trade places.

Szymanski top scored with 58 in Chelston’s total of 261 for nine at Newton St Cyres last time out. Ben Briscoe chipped in with 47.

There were three wickets for Barry Griffiths and two each for Phil Hunt and Briscoe as Saints were bowled out for 206 and lost by 56 runs.
