Premier round-up: Bradninch look for N Devon double

NORTH Devon lost to Bradninch earlier in the season when both teams were down in the basement – and will have a point to make in tomorrow’s Kensham Park rematch.

A lot’s changed since then as North Devon shot up the table on the strength of a seven-game unbeaten run. It ended against Sidmouth last Saturday.

Bradninch are still down in the basement 11 points behind Cornwood and safety.

Tim Piper, the Bradninch skipper, knows the threat North Devon pose and is treating them with caution.

“North Devon probably have the best team in the league at the moment and if they had this kind of availability throughout the start of the season, they would more than likely be at the top of the table,” said Piper.

It is a game of cricket and any team is beatable on any given day.

“We beat them at their place with a clinical performance.  If we play like that again it should be a great game.

“As long as all our boys give 100 per cent, I will come off the pitch happy.”
