BOVEY Tracey have taken note of the revival going on at Exeter and won’t be underestimating them at the County Ground tomorrow.
While Bovey have been pursuing Torquay, Sidmouth and North Devon at the top of the table, Exeter have been winning twice in the last three starts to get away from the bottom.
Club captain Andy Fairbairn said Bovey will always back themselves to win, but Exeter won’t be a pushover.”
It will be a really tough game against Exeter, who seem to have their strongest side available again,” said Fairbairn.
“Exeter are not a bottom-three side when they have all their players available, so we know we will have to be on top of our game.
“We also know if we play to our potential we are a very hard team to beat.
“Mark Lake and Matt Golding (pictured) have been in superb form all season.
“Pete Bradley looked to be back in form with his 50 against Plympton and Jordan Willoughy has been chipping in with useful performances all season too.
“We know we are capable of scoring 300 plus and we want to do it more consistently.
“Bowling wise, Sam Hickingbottom has been doing a great job with his tweakers in recent weeks and is regularly making important breakthroughs.
“If we can reduce some of our bad balls bowled, and tighten up in the field, we will be where we want to be as an all-round unit.
Exeter scrambled out of the bottom two last Saturday by winning at Paignton, who dropped into the second relegation place.
There is no margin for error though as Paignton are only a point behind – as are Plymouth in a three-way logjam at the bottom.
Sean Morris comes back into the side to play Bovey tomorrow after pulling out late last week due to a sore back.
Otherwise, Exeter are unchanged.
