UPLYME & Lyme Regis will be playing B Division cricket for the first time next season after sweeping aside Plymouth CS&R by 115 runs in the runners-up play-off.
Civil finished second in the C Division West behind Dartington & Totnes while Uplyme were runners-up to Ottery St Mary in the East.
John Whetlor, who was cleared to play by league officials despite not figuring in any games before the play-off, made 129 not out in Uplyme’s 264 for two,
Whetlor, a former 1st XI captain at Uplyme, put on 174 for the first wicket with Richard O’Halloran (41).
Mark Batey chipped in with 34 not out in an unbroken stand of 84 at the end.
Civil were all out for 149 in reply – Chris Sanders making 51.
Teenager Rhys Davies picked up three for 22 – including a brace of Gaylards – and there were two wickets each for Steve Batey and O’Halloran.
Lewdown 2nd XI beat Braunton by three wickets for a place in the A Division 2nd XI competition next season.
