WEEK One of the Exeter Indoor League produced wins for University, Bradninch and Tiverton.Exeter batted first against the University and were bowled out for 90 one ball into the 11th over.
George Greenway (pictured, above) top scored with 40 and there was a knock of 22 from Luciano Machado.
Rob Craze, with 2-18 from three overs, produced the best of the bowling returns for the Students.
It took the University just 7.2 overs to blast their way to a five-wicket win and Craze (pictured, right) completed a fine, all-round shift with the top score of 27 retired.
One other student, Ollie Mills, also retired with 26 to his name. The University picked up 20 points, while Exeter got three.
In Division Two, Bradninch, having lost all eight games they played in 2014, began the new campaign with their first indoor win, a three-wicket success over Countess Wear.
Neil Pateman top scored for Countess Wear with 20, but Will Birley (2-21 in three) and Mark Ashplant (2-25 in three), combined to restrict the batting side to 105 for five.
Seventeen-year-old Tom Bunker led the successful run chase with an unbeaten 42 while 16-year-old Max Cooper struck 27 not out. Will Grieg was unbeaten on 20 as Bradninch got home with three wickets and ten balls to spare.
Bradninch banked 20 points for their efforts and Countess Wear picked up six.
Newton St Cyres were bundled out for just 56 - 23 of which were extras - by a Tiverton side that wasted no time, and lost just one wicket, cleaning up! Skipper Brendon Parr retired with 27 to his name.
Tiverton got 21 points for their part in proceedings while Newton St Cyres just got the one.
