TARKA Ladies (above) are flying high at the moment having won their first two league matches.A great knock of 37 from Lauren Bowden (Chulmleigh and Tarka Ladies) at Corwood was partnered by a magnificent 103 not out by Alli Kelly (NDCC Tarka).
Ellie Holland' s (Barnstaple & Pilton and Tarka) three wickets, sealed the deal.
Kelly's batting form continued against Topsham at North Devon CC where, despite some terrific fielding she scored 143 not out.
Morgan Harrison-Hooton (Filleigh and Tarka) made 45 and Lydia Clements 36 not out.
Topsham's Hannah Clark scored 72 before she was bowled by Daisy Meadowcroft.
TARKA U15 girls are through to the last 16 of the Lady Taverner's National hardball competition.
Tarka beat Poole in round four with Meadowcroft (Filleigh and Tarka), Eluned Davies and Carmen Clements contributing to the runs.
Carmen Clements (NDCC Tarka) picked up three wickets.
The girls go on to meet Newport, the reigning National Champions at U13 and U15 level, next
THE Tarka U13 softball team (below) are the Lady Taverner's Devon softball champions after beating Paignton in the competition final at Chagford.
The event, staged by DCB and run by Matt Cooke, demonstrated how much the standard and competitiveness of girls’ cricket has risen in recent years.
The winning squad comprised Eleanor Voce, Grace Heard (captain) Issy George, Charlotte Lipscombe, Flora Corbin, Ruby Davis, Olivia Churcher and Saffy Ayara Epke.
The girls now go on to play in the South -West round in Bristol next month.
