BRAUNTON are hovering two points and one place clear of the B Division relegation zone after losing by 73 runs at Ivybridge.
Braunton, who were without former Premier paceman Jon Baglow due to injury, shipped a total of 278 for three.
Andy Johnson opened up with 83 and put on 85 with Kelvin Trent for the second wicket.
When Trent went for 39, Johnson and Jeewan deSilva posted 84 for the third wicket.
Harry Soloman batted out the final 12 overs for an unbeaten 33 while deSilva moved from 37 to 102 not out off 75 balls.

Braunton set off in hot pursuit with Alfie Huxtable (48) and Rob Collier (45) reaching 96 for nine after 21 overs.
Four wickets went for 21 runs added as spinners Abraham Kopparambil (2-38) and Solomon (2-29) wheeled away.
A stand of 83 between Iain Bond (38) and Gary Brook (22) kept Braunton in the picture.
When Bond fell to de Silva (3-41) it was downhill all the way to 205 for eight.
Braunton are at home to promotion-chasing South Devon this Saturday.
