SEATON cruised to a16-run win over Dartington & Totnes in today’s Corinthian Cup final at Ivybridge,
John Waterhouse top scored on 55 as Seaton made 134 for five in their 16 eight-ball overs.
Nathan Maddocks then took three for 10 and there were two wickets each for Chris Aplin and Ben Libby as D&T were bowled out for 118 in reply.
Waterhouse and skipper Ben Morgan (28) put on 73 for the fourth wicket, taking Seaton up to 116.
Ryan Stevenson led the bowling effort for D&T with two for 33 while Scott Colgate (1-18 off four) kept it tight.
Dartington & Totnes got off to a decent start through Bertus Loots (29) and Stevenson, reaching the halfway stage at 58 for three,
The next four overs saw the brake applied and at 87 for four with four overs to go the pressure was on.
That pressure got to D&T as they lost three wickets on 91, which killed their chances stone dead.
Brad Mitchell went for 14, James Howrihane was run out for six then Will Gornall came and went without troubling the scorers.
