Following
discussions between the Trustees of the Devon Youth Cricket Foundation,
and the David Shepherd Cricket Foundation, an agreement has been
reached to merge the two charities as soon as possible, and certainly
before 31 March 2014.
The new Charity will be called “The David Shepherd Cricket Trust.” The Chairman will be Mark Ansell. The Trustees will initially comprise all the existing trustees of the two charities. Richard Wyatt-Haines will be Hon Secretary, Gavin Lane will be Finance Trustee and Tim Burke will be Membership Trustee.
The activities of the merged charity will enable it to support young cricketers in Devon regardless of age, enabling the merged charity to help cricketers from primary school age through to, and including, the Devon Lions.
Work will now commence on the merger of the Charities and more details will follow in due course.
