Your veiws requested! DCB Development Plan - Consultation
We require your feedback before implementing this plan. Via various meetings, forums and discussions over the past 12 months the Devon Cricket Board have produce the attached draft Strategic Plan for Devon Cricket.
Please take the time to read through the plan and feedback to us any observartions you may have and highlight any omissions. We need to hear from you before we progress. The closing date for this online consultation will be September 30th 2011. We will also be presenting the plan for discussion at the next round of District Development Group meetings scheduled for early-mid October.
Introduction
This Development Plan sets out the Devon Cricket Board’s development framework for the period between October 2011 and September 2016. The Plan outlines clear objectives and priorities. It identifies clubs and organisations that will form the foundation of development activity and the responsible organisations for resourcing and managing the process. Progress is measured against performance indicators and in line with ECB National Minimum Standards. The Development Plan will give local meaning to the England and Wales Cricket Board’s National Strategy ‘Grounds to Play’.
It is the Devon Cricket Board’s intent to be recognised as ‘The leading non first class county - Inspiring and influencing the growth, quality and accessibility of cricket across Devon’ The plan will build upon the vibrant club structure at Junior and Senior level. It will work with Education to offer improved access to coaching and ensure clear development pathways for the most talented. The plan is ambitious and yet realistic. It takes the organisation of cricket within the county from a county wide perspective to a even more district based system with four District Development Groups set up in the four corners ensuring local demands can be met by local solutions. It recognises the limitation of cricket working in isolation and the necessity for working in partnership at every level.
