Match report:
The West won the toss and put the East into bat on a damp and chilly morning at Clyst St George. Grove made an excellent start taking a wicket off the second ball of the day and this brought Rudolph to the crease. He continued where he left off last match, scoring freely with some fine strokeplay,and helped along by Keenan and Henkus, was eventually out to an excellent catch on the boundary off the bowling of Petherbridge for 55. Some aggressive hitting at the end of the innings helped the score up to 175 for 6 with 5 bowlers from the West taking one wicket each.
After a fabulous lunch provided by our hosts the East set to work defending their score. The West got off to a good start with Gannnon guiding a loose delivery through backward point for 4 in the first over but then the East started to build pressure and took wickets on a regular basis and the West found themselves 7 down after 9 overs, eventually being all out for 27.
