One day, IOG foundation part B course, running in Devon
The newly formed Devon Cricket Groundsmans Association (DCGA) is proud to advertise the IOG (Institue of Groundmanship) foundation part B course which is taking place on Saturday the 24th September at Sandford CC.
This comprehensive, one day, foundation level course is suitable for new cricket groundsmen (volunteer and professional) or those requiring a refresher in modern, practical techniques for preparing and maintaining cricket surfaces.
The course will be run by former Glamorgan groundsman and current ECB pitch adviser, Len Smith in a very friendly, informal way. Delegates will have a 'hands on' opportunity to experience essential operations. The course fee includes lunch and all necessary course documentation. A syllabus of the day is below:

The DCGA have worked extremely hard to reduce the costs of the course to make it accessible by all clubs and groundsman. The cost is just £50 for DCGA members (34 clubs signed up so far) and £80 for non-members.
