North won the toss and put South in on a damp pitch and were soon rewarded with an early wicket. North bowlers struggled to keep their lines and extras became an increasing problem throughout the innings. N.Wright was in outstanding form and batted through all 40 overs and finished with an unbeaten 55. He was ably supported by: W.Chrsitophers (14) and J.Asworth (14 N.O.). South finished their innings on 181. North began well with T.Brend batting well for 17. It was evident that the chase was not going to happen as the south bowlers kept tight lines and forced the North batsman to work hard for any runs.M.Churchill bowled exceptionally well returning with figures of 3 for 2 runs. North ended well short of the target 182 but batted well to claim a draw.
