North Devon 174-6 (A Hannam 83*, T Brend 27; O Gannon 4-28) beat West Devon 172-9 (J Hagan-Burt 34*; A Hannam 3-46) by 4 wickets
On a very wet pitch and overhead conditions North won the toss and elected to bowl. West Devon batted well and posted a competitive score of 172 through a good performance of 34 not out from J.Hagan Burt.
With a drying pitch and better overhead conditions North started the run chase but some very tight bowling from O.Gannon and J.Hagan-Burt backed up by F.Cowen, left the North with a lot to do.
An excellent partnership between A.Hannam and T.Brend turned the game for the North. Alex hit an outstanding 83 not out taking the game away from West Devon with some great attacking shots. West devon struck back taking some quick wickets. Despite this Alex kept his cool and with Alex Marden guided North Devon home with seven overs to spare.
An excellent advert for youth cricket and a very competitive game played in the best spirit.
