North Devon 126-7 (A Hannam 41; N Osborn 3-20) beat South Devon 125 all out (N Osborn 21; A Hannam 2-21, C Penberthy 2-21, C Webb 2-24) by 3 wickets
On a cold day North won the toss and elected to field and bowled well for the first 22 overs picking up five wickets for 49 runs. The second session saw South fight back and N.Osborn played some good shots to help South get to a respectable 125 all out on a slow pitch and outfield.
North set about achieving the target with some good watchful batting from openers K.Latham and T.Brend. The Bowling of W.Christophers was especially tight conceding just 10 runs from his 8 overs. The North needed a batsman to stay at the crease and A.Hannam delivered a match winning 41 Not Out to win an exciting game as the South fought back by taking 3 quick wickets.
An excellent close game played in the right spirit and a credit to all the players involved
