On Saturday 26^th January 2013 from 2pm to 5pm, at Bideford College Sports Hall, former Somerset and Nottinghamshire batsman and ECB Level 4 Coach, Matt Wood, will run a session based around the new Skills Acquisition framework. This programme was developed in Devon and Matt was a major contributor in its design and implementation. He will offer advice on coaching techniques and tips that you may want to apply in your own sessions and show how these can be varied to meet the individual needs of young players at each stage of their development.  This will also be an excellent opportunity to meet your fellow coaches in North Devon, ask questions and share your own expertise and experience.  Please expect the workshop to be an interactive session and come prepared to take part in the activities.

All coaches and team managers in North Devon are encouraged to come along, whatever your experience and whether you are coaching at district, clubs or schools, or simply supporting other coaches at these organisations.  Please make sure other coaches at your organisation are aware of this opportunity as all are welcome.  The Devon Youth Cricket Foundation are funding this session and it is completely free of charge ...so here’s hoping to see many of you there on the day.
