Match report:

In the first District Match of the season, East Devon U11’s put in an excellent effort against the South. The South won the toss and decided to bowl. The East started aggressively but lost early wickets due to good bowling by the South and found themselves on 4-50. A Fantastic partnership made by Billy Rudolf (63) and Reece Davies (19) pushed on the score for the East finishing on 152. Pick of the bowlers for the South was P Hicks (3-21).

The opening batters for the South, Noah Wright and Bradley Sercombe saw off the opening bowlers for the East, but due to tight fielding found it hard to score runs. Wickets fell at regular intervals along with some great catching by Peter Keenan and a fantastic one handed diving catch by Jack Lockwood. The South finishing on 98 off 34 overs, Pick of the bowlers for the East was Jack Lockwood 3-9
