Match report:
South Devon won the toss and asked the West to bat. With a slow start from the West on a very green deck, South started to take early wickets. M. Skeemer dug in and batted really well for 76. Skeemer was joined by D. Mulberry with the score 15 for 2. With Skeemer hitting well Mulberry held up an end in a partnership of 107 which put West back in the driving seat. Skeemer was dismissed by J. Thomas with the score on 122 for 3. West then had a mid order collapse, losing then next 3 wickets without adding to the total. A stand of 63 pushed West closer to the 200 mark. F. Massey came on and cleaned up the tail. West finishing on 193 ao.
South Devon started quickly with runs but kept losing wickets to J. Lee. S. Ansley scored a quick fire 34 before being caught by a diving W. Johnson behind the stumps. Once Ansley had gone there wasn’t a lot to follow and J.Lee and T. Rossouw helped themselves to 4 wickets each and J. Warner came on to clean up the South tail with 2 for 1.
