THORVERTON skipper Graham White was a man of few words after his side slumped to a 32-run defeat by Ivybridgein a low-scoring affair.
Jeewan de Silva top scored with 35 for Ivybridge, who were all out for 100 in the 36th over.
After the early loss of Andy Johnson and skipper Gareth Andrews, Ivybridge reached 60 for two with de Silva and Harry Soloman (18) making the runs.
Once Solomon was spun out by Nick Barton (2-27), the Ivybridge batting crumbled.
Jack Choules (3-19) and Andy Pitt (3-11) did the damage as Ivybridge lost their last five wickets for just four runs.
Thorverton were all out for 68 in reply – their last four wickets accumulating just nine runs.
White made 25, Pitt made 10 and no one else got into double figures.
Jamie Bullock got among the wickets early with five for 19 as Thorverton wobbled.
There were four wickets for deSilva in the mopping up exercise at the end.
Said White: “If you can't chase 100 you want your backside kicked.”
