EARLY-season frontrunners Torquay and Heathcoat meet at Knightshayes in a first against second clash.
Both teams are unbeaten with Torquay ahead by a bonus point.
Veteran pace bowler Ian Baker replaces an injured Jack Richardson in an otherwise unchanged Torquay side.
Justin Yau, the Torquay captain, can’t wait for the game to start.
“We are looking forward to the Heathcoat game - they are a young, ambitious side like ours and we expect a very tough and exciting game,” said Yau.
“They have some quality players - Sam Smith in particular - is a very busy cricketer who has started well this season.
“We've never won three games on the spin at the start of the season during my time here and it would be great to keep winning.
“Winning becomes a habit and we are playing some excellent cricket at the moment and we want to continue to express ourselves.”
Baker is the last playing survivor of the Torquay team who won the Premier title in 1996 and 1997. Yau is pleased to have him on board for the big game.
“Ian will bring an added dimension of passion to the side which can only enhance us,” said Yau.
“It may only be two games in but it is huge in our eyes in terms of where we are and what we want to achieve this year.
“We have beaten two notoriously strong premier sides and am confident can do the business again on Saturday if we hit our straps.”
Heathcoat seamer Matt Hague isn’t available, which will mean raiding the 2nd XI for a player.
After their comprehensive win over Exeter 3rd XI last Saturday, 2nd XI players Lee Dixon and Ned Menhenoett could earn promotions.
Justin Williams, who took a ton off Exeter, won’t be elevated though as he is not available this weekend.
