Match report:
A slightly damp track saw the North win the toss and decide the field. Hoping for early wickets, 2 in the first 6 over’s and then a stand of 195 between Rickard 105 and Cload 82, which ended in the 41st over with the score then 239. The last 6 wickets fell for 23 runs in the remaining over’s. The North from being under the cosh went to tea on a high, Popham taking 8 wickets for 32 including a hat trick in the 48th over. Rain delayed the start after tea; the North's plan was not to lose wickets too early. May and Stacey, opening partnership was 121 when Stacey ran himself out in the 21st over. May and Shervington then took the score to 211, Shervington then getting caught by Rickard in the 33rd over. Cherrington and May then saw the North home in the 40th over, May scoring 150 n/o.
