BOVEY Tracey carried too much firepower for South Devon as they dumped them out of Aaron Printers Narracott Cup by 80 runs.
Dan Green plundered 66 off just 26 balls – three fours and five sixes – as Bovey raced to 188 for four. He was the last man out.
Openers Brad Causey (24) and Dominic Whitlock (42) got Bovey off to a 72-run start then Jack Thomas (36) and Green really started motoring.
Bovey added 54 in the final four overs as South Devon’s bowlers were hoicked around.
Jonny Martin (2-36) and Paul Hooper (2-18) took two wickets each.
South Devon couldn’t keep up with the asking rate for long and at half way were up to 12-an-over territory despite the best efforts of Ali Wright (44) and Hooper (29) to move the score along.
With Sam Thomas (3-14) and Jeremy Christophers (2-17) keeping it tight the runs dried up as South Devon slowed to 103 for eight.
