CHUDLEIGH are gearing up for the new season and looking to make 2012 the busiest and most successful ever.
Chudleigh will again be running colts’ session on Fridays throughout the season, starting on April 27 from 6.30 to 7.30. All players of all abilities aged 5-13 are welcome.
These sessions cost just £1 per child and there will be a barbeque and bar open throughout the evening for all to enjoy.
Chudleigh are entering teams at Under 11 and Under 13 age groups to accommodate the growing numbers wanting to play cricket at Kate Brook.
There will also be club social evenings on Friday nights during the season, including quizzes, race nights and other entertainment for all the family.
The first night is Friday, May 4 with a quiz starting after colts training session.
The club is also looking to attract new senior playing members of all abilities and anybody wishing to join is welcome to attend the senior training sessions on Wednesdays from 6.30 to 8pm from April 5.
Chudleigh have two teams in the Francis Clark Devon Cricket League and a Sunday side in the South Devon Cricket League.
Cricket begins at Katebrook on Saturday, April 28 with a pre-season friendly against Barton – with all 3 league teams in action the following weekend.
The 1st XI travel to Alphington while the 2nd XI host Bradninch – the Sunday side start a day later away to Stokeinteignhead.
Everybody is welcome at the club during the games throughout the season and the bar will be open from the start of the game at 2pm
