First ton in 32 years wins player of month award
Lovely Bubbly: Paul Collings of sponsors Francis Clark presents Countess Wear's Martin Bovey with a bottle of
champers and a cheque for £50 as player of the month for July.
COUNTESS Wear’s Martin Bovey has presented his player of the month award to charity.
Bovey won the July award for a maiden league century for the 2nd XI against Kentisbeare.
He has been playing cricket for 32 years and dedicated his century to late team-mates Jim Cooke, Paul Fenn and Ron Partridge.
Part of the prize is a cheque for £50, which Bovey will be sending to Hospice Care in memory of Mr Partridge.
