In recognition of the enormous contribution volunteers make to club cricket, Devon Cricket is offering these coaching courses at £20 per head, this will include resource to take away and use at your clubs.
The course will be delivered by the Devon Crickets’ team of tutors who are used to delivering courses but also working in club environments on an everyday basis.
Aims of the course and Target Audience
Aims:
• To provide skills training to club junior section volunteers/helpers to enable cricket to be introduced to young cricketers in a fun and enjoyable way
• To give club junior section volunteers/helpers current and up to date information on the teaching/coaching of cricket skills
• To give adults the skills and knowledge to assist qualified coaches working in club junior sections
• To give adults/junior volunteers a better understanding of the delivery of cricket with safe, effective and organised practices
• To give Teachers / Student Teachers the skills necessary to introduce and practice Cricket in Primary or Secondary Schools
Target Audience:
• Parents helping out at club junior sections
• Volunteers (15+) working in club junior sections
• Adults (15+) assisting club coaches on club junior practice nights
• Teachers / Student teachers wishing to introduce cricket in their schools
