Devon stroll to 8 wicket win against Dutch
Devon's second match of this year's Festival was against the bubbly and lively Dutch girls. After asking their  opponents to bat, devon preceded to have a quite horrendous forty five minutes with bowlers struggling for lengths and the Dutch girls tok full advantage as they advanced to 90-1 from 14 overs. The introduction of skipper Rebecca Donohue and off spinner Rebecca Piddock changed things quickly as they shared 5 wickets for just 25 runs, Piddock bowling the dangerous Miranda Veringmeier for 37 with Donohue trapping opener Nijman lbw for 28. The innings collapsed quite dramatically thereafter as Polly Carr picked up two wickets and there was also a chance for reluctant bowler Frances Lausen to pick up two wickets as the Dutch girls were all out for 115 in the 33rd over.

Devon made a confident if sedate start as openers Emily Robinson and Frances Lausen took the score to 66 before Robinson was caught behind for a well made 37. Lausen was joined by Jodie Dibble who provided the impetus for the innings as they added a further 40 before Lausen was out lbw for 18. The victory from here was never really in doubt as Dibble finished unbeaten on 33 as Devon ran out victors by 8 wickets, with nine overs to spare.
