After the wash out of Wednesday 29th july, the Division 4 T20 competition was re-arranged so that all four sides would play three 15 over games at Leamington CC. A huge thank you to everyone at the club for their outstanding efforts in getting the pitches playable.
Devon were asked to bat by Scotland and Giselle seemed to relish her opening role in the shortened version of the game by making 28 from 23 balls. The early loss of fellow opener Heather Knight proved insignificant as all the batters came in and looked to be positive against the Scottish attack, as Ansley and Amara Carr added 29 for the 3rd wicket with Frances Lausen and Nicole Richards putting together 22 for the 6th wicket as Devon totalled 103-8 from their 15 overs.
Scotland were soon in trouble as first a direct hit by Nicole Richards followed by a wicket apiece for Rebecca Bertrand and Giselle Ansley set Scotland on their heels at 9-3. They did manage to get to 27-4 but then Jodie Dibble was brought into the attack as she claimed 4-1 from just 2 overs as Scotland closed on 62-8 to slip to a 41 run loss.
