IN the last all-day match of the Dumplings 2011 season at the County Ground, the touring Frogs inserted the hosts on a dry and dusty wicket, a decision which rebounded on them.
Henry Bennett and Graham White, who both made 64, were backed up by John Meredith (29) and Chris Kelmere (28) as the Dumplings totalled 244 for 6 declared in 52 overs.
Simon Slabbert was the most successful Frogs bowler with 2 for 29.
The declaration left the Dumplings with potentially 53 overs to bowl out the visitors but they needed only 44 to achieve victory by 111 runs.
Though the Frogs looked solid at 60 for one off 20 overs, the introduction of spin produced a clatter of wickets.
Yodhan Sachdev broke the back of the innings with 5 for 40 off his 16 overs and Henry Bennett polished off the tail with 3 for 28.
For the Dumplings Graham White took a brilliant catch at slip and this was followed by an outstanding gulley catch by John Meredith.
The Frogs were all out for 133 giving the Dumplings victory by 111 runs.
