THE Devon Dumplings had a convincing win over North Devon at Instow, coming out on top by 55 runs.
The Dumplings’ total of 256 for four declared was founded on an excellent opening partnership of 100 by Andrew Parr (57) and James Ford (53).
When the hosts replied, Hatherleigh’s Richard Tidball struck with his second ball and continued to bowl unchanged from the pavilion end to capture four for 68 in his 18 overs.
Stuart Rhodes made a defiant 122 for North Devon, but the Dumpling performance was characterised by some excellent catching and fielding and the home side were finally dismissed for 201.
