Devon completed their pre season friendly's with a home fixture against Wales at Axminster. Batting first wickets kept falling on a regular basis as all of the top order batsmen got in and got out. Nicole Richards anchored the innings well and looks at home holding the batting together in the middle order. Skipper Lottie Miles chipped in with 14 along with contributions from Claire Ramsay and Rebecca Piddock. Devon posted 145 as they were bowled out in the 44 th over. C Thomas was the pick of the bowling with 3-17, Gwenan Davies 2-28 and N Williams-Wadley 2-10.
Devon responded well with the ball despite Rebecca Donohue only being able to bowl 2 overs, Clara Nielson bowled opener Rees in her 4 th over and then leg spinner Nicole Richards entered the fray to claim 3-21 from 6 overs. She was backed up well by fellow spinner Rebecca Piddock with 2-12 but it was left to experienced campaigner Cathy Griffin to take the bowling honours as she claimed 4-6 from 5 overs as Devon ran out comfortable winners by 46 runs.
